Bobby Martini's "Joy of Deck" 2008

First of all.....Happy New Year !!!!

-

Now that's out of the way, and I hope it's a good one for all of us, on with the business.

-

I haven't produced a long mix for over a year and after some nagging and a few emails I finally gave in and produced a new one which was first aired on the Ramdom Thoughts podcast show 133 just over a week ago.

-

You can now download the entire 90 minute mix in mp3 format by visiting the usual address www.bobbymartini.co.uk and clicking on the Long Mixes page.

-

The mix is basically a collection of my favourite remixes over the past year all blended together so you don't have to !

Genesis vs Fragma "There's No Hiding Place" Mashup

Well, as promised in my last post, here is my 'comeback' mash. A fusion of Genesis and Fragma (not something you find very often I'm sure)

Featuring one of my favourite Genesis tracks, "Man On The Corner" taken from the ever superb album 'Abacab' and the 2008 version of Fragma's "Toca's Miracle", I think I have just given old Phil Collins a bit of cred...........maybe ??

"There's No Hiding Place" was featured on both Scott Johnson's Ramdomthoughts show and got it's first worldwide radio play on 17th Oct by Sim Courtie on BFBS Radio 1. Thanks to both of you for your support.

The mash can be found at the usual address - www.bobbymartini.co.uk on mashups page 9

Thanks

Bobby

"Shine Yet Suffer Well" - Depeche Mode vs Booty Luv

This mash was a real struggle for me. I wanted to do something a bit different for Scott Johnson's 100th Ramdom Thoughts show and knowing he was a huge Depeche Mode fan, I thought it quite fitting to produce a DM themed mash. I had been playing around with the Booty Luv pella for a few days but all the tracks I matched it with were all too similar. I decided to go completely out of the box with this one and mash two very different songs and genres. This mash went through about 7 different versions before I settled for this one.

I think it works and hopefully you will to. If you don't, no worries, the next mash will follow shortly !

This exquisite masterpiece can be found at the usual address www.bobbymartini.co.uk on mashups page 8.

Let me know what you think.

Ultimate Dance - Ramdom Thoughts Exclusive

I have produced a brand new CD length mix entitled "Ultimate Dance - Winter 07". It features some of the years biggest hits by artists such as Marilyn Manson, Leann Rimes, Britney Spears, Cass Fox and Booty Luv all remixed and segued together for almost 80 mins of club magic !

You can hear this mix exclusively first on Scott Johnson's Ramdom Thoughts Podcast - Show 82 before it's official release next weekend.

Take a trip over to Scott's site and tell him Bobby sent ya !

Enjoy......until the next one..........

Just My 'Random Thoughts'

Those of you not familiar with Scott Johnson's weekly podcast, "Ramdomthoughts", might want to pay a visit to his site and download show number 77. In a break from the norm, Scott has decided to take a well earned break for a week and let a guest presenter take the helm - and what a great job that guest presenter has done - LOL.

Now it would be telling if I were to give away who this person is. Just head to the site, download the show and enjoy. Tell Scott Bobby sent ya !!!!

New Depeche Mode Mashup - Exclusive to Ramdomthoughts

This weekend Scott Johnson is featuring an all new mashup I have produced featuring Depeche Mode.

"World In My Precious Eyes" is a fusion of DM's "World In My Eyes" taken from one of the best albums in the world 'Violator' versus DM's "Precious" taken from the album 'Playing the Angel'.

This mash is exclusive to ramdomthoughts.co.uk and will feature on show #72. This mash will NOT be available to download via my site or Scott's. You can only hear it by downloading Scott's entire show as of this weekend (15th September release date).

If enough people want it released as a seperate download and contact me to ask - then I might consider it........maybe ;)

I Won Something !!!!

Great news for the beginning of September. I have won 'Mashup of The Month' @ Beat-Boot-Ique for my mash "Chemical Brothers Get Stoned With Spears" and I also won 'Mix of The Month' for my "Summer Martini Mixer 07"

Also want to give a big shout out to my good mate Scott Johnson at ramdomthoughts because his show won 'Podcast of the Month' and that show featured my Summer Martini Mixer 07 exclusively first.

Thanks to everyone at Beat-Boot-Ique who voted - really appreciate it.
